Dear Readers,
I know it’s been a long time, and YES, I didn’t do a Fringe Guide this year. I was in Seattle for a work conference and took some extra time to explore the Pacific Northwest. I hope you had a fabulous FringeArts experience and enjoyed some wonderful productions. I managed to catch a few during my limited time this September.
In addition to my travels, I’ve been dedicating most of my free time to launching a small nonprofit. Local Good is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps people in the Philly area by providing one-time microgrants of up to $200. Our goal is to offer financial assistance through donations from a collective of caring, empathetic giving partners. These partners also engage in the decision-making process by voting on who receives the grants. Visit our website to learn more—and of course, I would love your support, whether through time or donations. If you're interested in joining our board, please email me!
The main reason for this brief newsletter is to invite you to my 60th Birthday Party on Saturday, October 5th, from 1 to 3 pm at the old Sugar Mom’s, located at 225 Church Street. And now’s the time to say, "No way, you’re sixty! More like forty!" Yes, I am turning sixty, so to mark the occasion, I want to share six events coming up in the next six weeks that I’m really excited about!
